A fire broke out at the DRR Studio Rajarhat on Monday morning. The popular studio is the home for reality shows like ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’, ‘Didi No. 1’, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. All the biggest reality shows on Bengali television are shot in this studio. According to reports, around 11.30 am this morning, two of the vanity vans standing adjacent to the studio caught fire.As per reports, the fire started from the canteen and spread to the makeup vans. The vanity vans have been destroyed by the fire. However, there are no reports of injury yet.
DRR Studio, popularly known as ‘Rambabaur Bagan’ to the locals is one of the most popular studios currently up and running in Bengal. Situated near Rajarhat Main Road, this studio serves as the shooting floor for the biggest reality shows on Bengali television. From Sourav Ganguly’s ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’, Rachana Banerjee’s ‘Didi No. 1’ to Abir Chatterjee hosted ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ – all the popular reality shows are shot at DRR studio.
India’s Cricket legend Sourav Ganguly’s ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’ is currently running in its 10th season. The quiz reality show is approaching its grand finale. On the other hand, one of the biggest and most popular singing reality shows on Bengali television ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is coming back with yet another season. This year, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is going to commence its 21st season. The audition for the singing reality show is going on and the show will go on air very soon. ‘Didi No. 1’, hosted by actress and politician Rachana Banerjee, is also shot at DRR Studio Rajarhat.
