‘Mithai’ family attends Adrit and Kaushambi’s wedding; Soumitrisha missing from the frame

Kaushambi Chakraborty and Adrit Roy got hitched on May 9 in a traditional Bengali wedding. The ‘Mithai’ co-stars took their wedding vows on Thursday evening, and the ‘Mithai’ family was in attendance. The cast and screw shared several pictures from the evening on social media. But one person was missing from all the frames. Soumitrisha Kundu, aka Mithai, the actress who played the character of the female protagonist on the popular Bengali TV show, was nowhere to be seen.
Adrit and Kaushambi came close to each other while working in the popular Bengali daily ‘Mithai’. The duo started as friends and eventually fell in love. However, Adrit and Kaushambi’s rumoured affair did not have a smooth sail. Rumour has it, Adrit initially was closer to Soumitrisha, who played the female protagonist opposite to him. Later when Adrit and Kaushambi’s closeness became the talk of the town, Soumitrisha was not quite happy with it. It was heard that Soumitrisha and Adrit’s off-screen equation became sour thereafter. She was not seen at the recent reunion ‘Mithai’ cast and crew had before Adrit and Kaushambi’s wedding.

As for the wedding, Kaushambi was seen in a red Benarasi saree, looking like a quintessential Bangali Kone. The actress paired her wedding outfit with gold jewellery and a gold mukut. With minimal makeup, Kaushambi sported the brightest smile on her wedding day. Adrit sported a yellow Panjabi for the evening and kept his look minimal with the topor on his head. The couple exchanged garlands looking at each other and everyone could see them being so much in love. The ‘Mithai’ family shared a bunch of photos from the occasion.

On the other hand, Soumitrisha was seen enjoying the rain on Thursday afternoon. She shared a video from her balcony where she got drenched in rain. Not just that, the ‘Pradhan’ actress shared a bunch of photos in the evening as well.

On the work front, Soumitrisha is next slated to star as the leading lady in Rupak Chakraborty's film ‘10 June’ opposite Saurav Das. ’10 June’ is a thriller that revolves around the story of the female protagonist who finds herself alone in her house one day. Suddenly the doorbell rings, and she opens the door to find a murderer walking in. He wants to take refuge to avoid the cops. He scares the female protagonist with a gun and threatens to kill her. The film follows the story from there on. The first look of the film is already out.
