Prime Volleyball League: Hyderabad Black Hawks fight back to stun Mumbai Meteors
NEW DELHI: In a thrilling comeback, Hyderabad Black Hawks secured a remarkable victory in the third season of the RuPay Prime Volleyball League, defeating the Mumbai Meteors 7-15, 12-15, 15-10, 15-11, 20-18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Monday.
Ashamat Ullah's outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
The Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development for the Government of Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, was present at the event and greeted the players before the commencement of the match.

Mumbai Meteors took an early lead with Amit Gulia's sensational pipe attacks, while Hyderabad Black Hawks faced initial challenges with unforced errors. Shubham Chaudhary's powerful smashes contributed to Meteors' control of the game. However, Hyderabad's Hemanth's attacking spikes and Stefan Kovacevic's effective attacks from the middle led to a comeback.

Despite the triple effectiveness of Mumbai's trio - Amit, Ajith Lal, and Shubham - Hyderabad gradually regained momentum. Shameem, the middle blocker for Meteors, tried to halt Hyderabad's attacks, but Hemanth and Ashamat Ullah played crucial roles in turning the tide.

As the game progressed to the fifth set, Mumbai aimed to reduce errors, and Shubham's aggressive serves threatened Hyderabad. However, a risky Super Point move by Mumbai did not pay off, allowing Hyderabad to emerge victorious in the epic thriller.
